Cherry blossom season is in full swing, and we couldn't be happier. Nothing quite beats the beautiful sight of pink sakura raining down on the city, and now the season is getting even more festive with two new pop-ups from Washington, D.C.'s ingenious Drink Company.

The mastermind purveyors of craft cocktails and good times have announced that a duo of Japanese-style bars are opening March 1st, just in time for the cherry trees to bloom. Following the success of their Christmas-meets-Stranger-Things pop-up Miracle on 7th Street, these watering holes will likely feature the same level of detail in the decor, menu, and drinks – not to mention the same level of success.

The Mockinghill Bird will be decked out in pink blossoms, origami crane chandeliers, and waving maneki neko cat figurines, while the Southern Efficiency space will get a pop culture makeover with Nintendo characters and costumed staff. There are also rumors of a Mario Kart contest, so line up early and fight for a much-coveted spot on the roster.

Both pop-up bars open for evenings only starting at 5pm, and will run through April 15.
